It is my pleasure to observe that TurkJEM recently made a remarkable achievement in view of international recognition and academic acceptance.
The outstanding development of Endocrinology in Turkey, as well as the scientific content of the official publication of Turkish Endocrinology and the easy access via electronic media increases the knowledge of our colleagues. TurkJEM will continue to progress due to its regular periodic publications, its quality and your growing interest and contributions. Interests and requests for archiving TurkJEM from international libraries is a highly encouraging development
I would like to express my thanks to all, who has contributed to this important process with their invaluable inputs, to the editorial board members and our associate editors, who has meticulously assessed and reviewed the manuscripts, and to our publishing house Galenos, who sustains the printing quality of our journal.
This issue includes a case report on primary hyperparathyroidism, original articles on type 2 diabetes, use of metformin in pregnancy, as well as interesting case reports on positive effects using topiramate on polycystic ovary syndrome, ocular myastenia gravis, thyroiditis, iron deficiency anemia combined with reactive hypoglycemia, and Melkersson-Rosenthal syndrome combined with Hashimotos thyroiditis.
We hope that you will find this issue scientifically useful as well as enjoyable.
With my highest regards,
