Dear Colleagues,
As we are publishing our 15th volume of this year ,it is my pleasure and privilege to inform all concerned that our periodical is being included in Turkey’s Referance index as of february,18 th ,2011.Let me once more reiterate that our periodical can be easily accessed on SEMT’s web page “ www.temd.org.tr or www.semt.org.tr “From now on ,all previous isuues of our peridicals ,full texts of all articles and statistical informations can be obtained free of charge through “www.atifdizini@com.
Turk JEM is now internationally recognised and acclaimed and continues to have a regular and steady publishing life with the sole contribution and interest ot our esteemed colleagues. Indeed ,it reflects a parrallel movement with regard to domestic and international devolepment of endocrinology.
Through our periodical we inform our colleagues ,as on national and international scientific activities, congressses,symposiums and worksops.
We hope and expect that active academic participation and foloow up will be instrumental in contributing to the scientific arena and thus will result in the production of new studies and their inclusion in Turk JEM. We will continue to inform our readers on the scientific activities and developments in our future isuues.
Our colleagues will observe the following in this isuue. The original research of Mamedow et al from Azerbaijan,conclude that TIMI square calculation of patients with metabolic syndrome and stable angına ,is a useful method for determining the prognosis and treatment options of the disease. Salman et al from İstanbul reviewed and updated diabetes specific antibodies and their use in clinical practice.Gorar et al from Ankara presented a case study on primary hyperparathyrodism (PHP)on pregnancy and wanted to draw attention to complications of PHP throughout pregnancy problems. Ozuguz et al from Ankara presented an unusual clinical course of papillary thyroid microcarcinoma metastases of lung and bone. Unluturk and his colleagues from Ankara called attention to the benefit of measurement of thyroglobulin levels in fine needle aspiration washouts from lymp nodes on differantiated thyroid carcinomas. Karaca et al fromKayseri presented the rare case report of a patient with follicular thyroid cancer initially diagnosed with pelvic mass.
I hope that this issue of Turk JEM will provide a satisfactory reading and thought provoking .I would like to underline once more that we expect contribution of all our colleagues with their original articles ,reviews and case reports in our future issues.
